Ich möchte mich sehr gerne für ein Projekt in Thailand bewerben, am liebesten als Assistenz im Englischunterricht für Kinder oder Jugendliche, oder alternativ auch für die Kinderbetreuung. Mein Problem ist allerdings das Motivationsschreiben.

Ich habe bisher noch nie etwas ehrenamtlich gemacht. D. h. mit Kindern/Jugendlichen habe ich auch noch nie etwas gemacht in Richtung Betreuung oder Ähnliches, allerdings mag ich Kinder sehr. Ich arbeite nicht im sozialen Bereich, aber wenn ich nicht mehr in meinem jetzigen Beruf arbeiten könnte/wollte, würde ich etwas mit Kindern machen.

Jetzt weiß ich nicht, wie ich das im Motivationsanschreiben verpacken soll. Habe ich mit meinem Profil denn überhaupt eine Chance auf einen Platz?

Hier mal der erste Entwurf. Mir ist klar, dass hier noch einiges in Richtung Motivation passieren muss. Werde heute Abend weiter dran arbeiten.

Dear Mr. xyz,
I would like to attend the Weltwärts program in the upcoming year as an english teacher for teenagers. Currently I‘m working as a junior designer. Although I love my job, I want to get to know other cultures and get involved with other people and contribute to a community.

I have always been interested in the asian way of life. Especially Thailand amazes me with it‘s contradictory culture of traditional, peaceful villages opposed to the modern, fast-paced big cities like Bangkok.

I am used to having a lot of responsibilities assigned, therefore I stay focused even in stressful situations. It is easy for me to get along with foreign people, in fact I like to make a connection with new people. I know that the work with the teenagers would be a lot of fun for me and I am sure that I could learn a lot from it.

I consider my english skills very good. Through my job I always had to read english resources to keep myself up to date. Lately I even started writing english articles for graphic design websites, so my written english skills are nearly fluent. My spoken english isn‘t fluent, but I can talk with other people in english with ease.

Beside my english skills I have started learning Thai. At the moment I am only learning Thai vocabularies and their tonality, since I am still learning the Thai alphabet. Therefore my Thai skills are still on a beginner level, but I want to improve my skills a lot, which is why I would love to live in Thailand for one year.
I am sure that my Thai skills will be a great addition for the daily work with the teenagers.

Nimm in deine Bewerbung auch den Namen des Vereines auf bei den du dich bewirbst und optimaler Weise auch warum du dich gerade dort bewirbst.

Und zweitens, lass dein Schreiben mal von einem englisch Muttersprachler überarbeiten
